(Analytical) Finland Finds Its Footsteps in NATO

Due to crucial conservation in international politics, some countries had to choose their own path to adapt to their new environment. Some of these moments do not happen suddenly often, and are not even publicized beforehand. For Russia and several post-Soviet countries, the collapse of the Soviet Union resulted in different regulations for the various capitals of the remaining Soviet Union countries. In the event of Russia's aggressive treatment of its neighbors, there is a huge wave of research examining what exactly went wrong.

While there have been several such articles since that time, one article that caught the attention of political researcher Stuart Kaufman was written in 1996. In that article, it documented several options that Russia could take after the collapse of the employee age and described how some Russian law makers can choose. a nationalist position that has the potential to result in the annexation of Eastern Ukraine and other regions. While this is one of many positions that could be taken, this is what happened. Furthermore, the nationalist position is the position that Russia takes in its rule, but has the content of other positions that it takes in its identity.

The article goes on to explain slot 88 that Russian regulations are often a combination of things, and that the so-called liberal approach has become more advanced than it has been since the late 1990s. This is especially evident with the recent death of Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny. In this way, Russia is increasingly focusing more on the core elements of its illiberal rule and identity.

In contrast, Finland moved further into several other European countries under the leadership of Mauno Koivisto. This trend continued under the leadership of Sanna Marin who helped launch the country's efforts to join NATO. The changes reflect a decision to always determine the country's destiny according to its difficult environmental circumstances. However, the country must understand the obstacles it may face in achieving that goal, especially considering Russia's treatment in the background that runs counter to its goals.
